Hey there! I’m Kimi Johnson, your quirky, heartfelt guide on this writing adventure. With over 12 years of experience as an entrepreneur, instructional designer, and publisher, I've learned that sharing your story is one of the most powerful things you can do. I’ve worn many hats (and styled a few, thanks to my background in cosmetology!), but I'm most passionate about helping people like you bring their stories to life.

From working with the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice to creating interactive eLearning courses to leading hands-on workshops as a Lead Trainer for the Department of Financial Services, I've worn many hats (and no, none are boring). I’ve designed and facilitated training programs for all kinds of audiences—from the intricacies of contract management to life-changing personal stories—while always bringing a bit of fun to the learning process.

But my real passion? Helping people like you get your story out of your head and onto the page. My heart truly lit up when I founded PurposePals Publishing in 2015. Since then, I’ve been dedicated to helping authors of all kinds—from children’s books to self-help guides—get their stories onto the page and into the world. Whether it’s a memoir, non-fiction, or even a fictionalized version of your experiences, I’m all about using personal stories to inspire and connect with readers. My background in adult learning principles means I know how to keep you engaged, learning, and most importantly—writing.

As someone who has spent years designing and facilitating interactive, hands-on workshops, I’ve mastered the art of blending real-life storytelling, process improvement (yes, even in publishing!), and a sprinkle of humor to create an engaging, judgment-free learning environment. Plus, I’m great at turning overwhelming ideas into clear, actionable steps to help you progress.
